Arrive at the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area and view the impressive scenery up close as you journey along the National Conservation Area’s 13 mile scenic drive, including views of the Wilson Cliffs, part of the 65 million year-old Keystone Thrust, and the fossilized sand dunes of the brilliantly colored Calico Hills. Keep your eyes peeled for bighorn sheep, coyotes, deer, and wild burros, as well as wildflowers, Native American pictographs, and diverse vegetation.
Visit the Visitor Center and browse the museum, featuring displays of Red Rock Canyon’s unique geology, flora, fauna, wildlife, and local Indian cultures. Outside the Visitor Center, take a look at a turtle habitat up close, or even view the Canyon through a telescope.
